Part of the Higham Cricket Club development plan is to see a new, and long overdue, pavilion at Higham.
To this end Dan Bamforth and Ian Lake have been in discussion with a local architect and local councillors with a view to
applying for planning permission and funding. There are various funding opportunities open to the cricket club but to raise
the estimated £200,000 will take time and much form filling.
Current Position
Planning permission has now been received, this gives the club 3 years to secure the fnding needed to progress with
the proposed build. Dan Bamforth and Ian Lake will now look at grant funding streams and applications will
be forwarded over the next 12 to 18 months to such agencies as Sport England, The National Lottery, ECB, etc. The main
focus of the club over the summer of 2012 will be to raise funds to add to any grant funding. Details of the fund raising
activitites will be advertised nearer the reletive dates.
